A new smartphone from Lava named ‘Lava Iris X10‘ was listed online without any confirmation about the official launch. The device comes with a plastic back cover and metal frame around the device though there is no official information, it might even be a chrome finished frame as seen on the earlier smartphones from the manufacturer. It is currently listed as out of stock and is priced at Rs. 10,990. Since this is not the official listing we can expect few changes in the final product.
The device sports a 5-inch IPS display with HD resolution and comes powered by 1.3GHz MediaTek quad-core processor. It features 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that can be further expandable up to 32GB. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and includes dual SIM slots where the first SIM supports 4G LTE.
Talking about the camera, it has a 13MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera for capturing selfies. It is backed by a 2900mAh that can give up to 15.3 hours of talk time and lasts up to 850 hours on standby. The Coolpad Note 3 priced sports same specifications and is priced much cheaper at Rs. 8,999. It even sports a slightly larger 3,000mAh battery and 5.5-inch HD display compared to the 5-inch display on Iris X10.
Earlier this month Lava had launched an affordable entry-level smartphone ‘Iris Atom 2X‘. Priced at Rs. 4,499, it comes with basic specifications like FWVGA display, 0.3MP front camera and a 2,000mAh battery. There are few smartphones from Chinese manufacturers that offers better specifications at the same price range.
Talking about the Iris X10, we expect the device to be launched in the next couple of weeks since the device was already listed. The listing on HomeShop 18 also offers a screen guard and protective cover for free along with the purchase of Iris X10. Stay tuned for more updates in the coming days.
