Lava Iris Fuel 10 and Iris Fuel 25 budget phones launched with 3000 mAh battery

Lava Iris Fuel series is known for the battery capacity, and Lava continues that as there are two devices launched in the Budget smartphone market in India – the Lava Iris Fuel 10, and Lava Iris Fuel 25. These two budget devices come with basic specs and the fact that they are in a series that is more about batteries, they both come with a 3000 mAh battery packed in.

According to Lava, the battery will be able to provide 14 hours of continuous 3G talk time, 6.5 hours video playback and 60 hours music playback time using earphones.

Lava Iris Fuel 10

The Fuel 10 has a 4.5-inch IPS display with FWVGA resolution (480 x 854 pixels), and it is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core Mediatek chipset, along with 1GB RAM and the phone runs Android 4.4 KitKat OS. It sports a 5-megapixel rear and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It is a BSI+ Sensor, and for the front camera, there is a dedicated selfie button on the back of the phone, while the gesture controls include voice controlled image capture.

While there is an 8GB internal storage included, the Iris Fuel 10 has a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion to 32GB. The device has 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS as the connectivity options. While it is on KitKat version right now, the company says it will receive Android Lollipop update very soon. It is priced at Rs. 6541.

Lava Iris Fuel 25

The larger unit, i.e. Fuel 25 has a 5-inch display and it is powered by a 1.0 GHz dual-core processor along with 512 MB RAM. There are some other compromises to the specs, as we see a VGA camera on the front along with the 5-megapixel rear camera. The internal storage is 4GB and it thankfully has a MicrOSD card slot for storage expansion, up to 32GB.

Even the Fuel 25 comes with Android 4.4 KitKat but there is no information about the future updates on this. The Fuel 25 is available for Rs. 5,666.

Both the smartphones comes with Airtel bundle offer of 500 MB of 3G data free per month for two months.
