Latest Instagram Bug Exposed Passwords of Some of its Users

A couple of months back, Facebook suffered a huge security breach that affected almost 50 million accounts. That also included the Instagram users who use Facebook to login to their accounts. Now, Instagram itself has exposed the passwords of its users. According to the Information, the security tool that allows Instagram users to download a copy of their data is expected to be the reason behind the data leak.
The company has however notified the affected users. It also deleted the login details and updated the tool. Facebook also confirmed that the security bug has affected only a small number of users. If you are not notified about this glitch, then your account details aren’t compromised. However, we still suggest you change your password or activate the 2-factor authentication (2FA).
While Facebook is creating a negative impact, the users are still loving Instagram. The company recently introduced the ‘Your Activity’ dashboard to tackle the users spending more and more time on their app. Once the user sets a specific time limit, the app will show a notification every day after that certain time limit. Even Google also introduced a similar feature called ‘Digital Wellbeing’ to maintain phone-life balance.
