Karbonn K9 Smart Grand Smartphone Announced with 5.2” Display & 1GB RAM



Recently we have seen Karbonn announcing its K9 Smart Eco and K9 Smart Yuva but the company has decided to add another device to the list and has announced K9 Smart Grand smartphone. This device which has been added to the K9 Smart series is listed on the companies official page but nothing is mentioned about the pricing and the availability yet. The handset comes with a metallic unibody design and will be available in Black and Champagne color variants.

Coming to the specifications of the device, it will come with a 5.2-inch full laminated display with 854 x 480 pixels resolutions giving a pixel density of 188ppi. The device will come out of the box with Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and nothing is mentioned about the further updates. Under the hood, there is a 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. The onboard storage on the handset is limited to 8GB which can be extended further upto a maximum of 32GB via microSD card slot.

On the camera side, Karbonn has provided an 8MP autofocus camera on the rear with LED flash which will be accompanied with 5MP camera on the front. On the back of the device, we can find a 2300mAh capacity battery which is rated to deliver up to 8.5 hours on 2G and gives a standby time around 288 hours. The handset supports 4G connectivity along with dual SIM. There are many connectivity options like Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio jack, OTG, Micro-USB port, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, GPS, and A-GPS.

Moreover, to enhance the security levels the company has also included a fingerprint sensor which will also make online transactions easier. Looking at the specifications, we can say that the device will be a budget friendly handset which will be competing against many other entry level smartphones.
