Karbonn Aura Sleek 4G Smartphone with 1GB RAM & 5MP Camera Listed Online

The Indian smartphone manufacturer, Karbonn had launched quite a few entry-level smartphones in the past. Now a new smartphone called Karbonn Aura Sleek 4G is spotted on the company’s official website with basic specifications. There is no word on the pricing of this device, and we expect it to launch soon in the market. Much like any other budget smartphone, the Aura Sleek 4G also comes with polycarbonate shell with a slight curve. We guess this device to be priced under Rs. 5,000 where there is less competition from the Chinese manufacturers.

It sports a 5-inch IPS display offering FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) resolution. The device is powered by an unspecified quad-core processor clocked at 1.1GHz and also packs 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. While 1GB RAM will be good enough for basic usage, we can’t expect much multitasking on this device. Coming to the storage, the OS and pre-installed bloatware apps will further decrease the available storage on this device. However, there is a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage up to 32GB. The Karbonn Aura Sleek 4G runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

In the camera department, there is a 5MP autofocus camera on the rear and a 2MP fixed focus camera on the front for selfies and video calls. The rear camera also features LED flash for capturing images in low light conditions and includes face and smile detection. The Aura Sleek 4G comes is backed by a 2,000mAh removable battery that is rated to deliver 8 hours of talk time and lasts up to 130 hours on standby mode. It measures 145.6 x 71.5 x 8.8 mm and weighs 174 grams. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm Audio port, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port.

The device also comes with G-Sensor, Accelerometer, Proximity, and Light sensor. It will be available in Black, Champagne White & Grey. Since it works with VoLTE, the Aura Sleek 4G can be used with Jio 4G SIM which will be offering unlimited 4G data (FUP @ 1GB/day), voice calls, and SMS for just Rs. 303. Interestingly, the volume rocker and power button are placed on the left edge of the device. On the bottom rear, we can also find the loud speaker. Earlier to this, the company launched the Aura Note 4G smartphone with much better specifications.

It is priced at Rs. 6,490 and features a fingerprint sensor on the rear. There is a 5.5-inch HD display and includes 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The device also sports 5MP cameras on front and back of the device and includes a slightly larger 2,800mAh battery.
