JioGroup Talk – a New VoLTE-based Group Conferencing Call App Introduced

Reliance Jio has ventured into India as a network carrier back in 2016, which has bought radical shifts across the competing networks across India. Along with the 4G-enabled services, Jio has offered several other services during the launch, which included – JioMusic, JioTV, JioChat, JioPay and continuous to expand its service more to its loyal consumers. The 4G network giant has now introduced a new service via an app – the JioGroup Talk for both Android and iOS platforms.
As the name suggests, the JioGroup Talk offers conference calling facilities across your contacts through VoLTE. The Jio GroupTalk is available in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store on a trial basis, which means it is still not fully featured. However, it still offers group call conferencing amongst a total of 10 members at a time. Users can make a group call to all the ten contacts at a stretch, unlike the regular group calling, where the user needs to add a contact one after the other after placing the call. Users can select up to 10 members before placing the call by check marking them in the respective contacts page.
Additionally, Jio Group Talk feature offers a ‘Lecture mode’ where only one person can talk during the call while other group members are automatically muted. The other feature on the app provides a scheduling conference call option as well.
Once the app has been installed users need to enter their Jio number for activation via OTP. After activating, users can start placing group across their contacts that can include Jio numbers and non-Jio numbers as well. Bear in mind, the app is still trial-based, you might experience some glitches and lags, and hopefully, they can be resolved in its full release. Stay tuned to PhoneRadar for such interesting updates.
