Today earlier we exclusively reported about Mukesh Ambani being said to announce the date of Commercial launch of the Reliance JIO services during their Annual General Meeting on September 1st. While we did that it is also announced that JIO Preview Offer (JPO) is now officially available for Sony, Videocon and Sansui smartphones.
Earlier this week, we have seen many smartphone brands in India partnering up with JIO to get eligibility for the JPO. The list is quite long excluding the LYF and Samsung handsets, which got the early scoop of Jio services. Since then it has been extended to LG, ASUS, Panasonic, Micromax, Yu, TCL Corporation, Alcatel, Gionee, XOLO, Karbonn and Lava 4G smartphones.
We again remind eligible users who are heading to Reliance Digital stores or Xpress Mini stores should take original proof of address and proof of identity with themselves. As it would be required to authenticate the details of the user. A JIO SIM would be issued to the customer after they are done with authentication of the documents. We made a comparison of Airtel Vs Jio, as they both ha some preview offers for the data and voice.

Note that there are some prerequisite that you need to do before you take original documents and ask for a SIM card. You would need to download and install MyJio app on your eligible Sony, Videocon or Sansui smartphone. Further, all the Jio apps that you see in the My Jio apps need to be downloaded and installed on your device to generate a unique code. It would be then used in your application form for Jio SIM card.
The generated code isn’t transferrable and has only limited validity period. It is recommended that you generate code when you are heading to the store to get your free Jio SIM card.
