itel Mobile from Transsion Holdings to Launch 6 Phones in India from Rs. 700 to Rs. 7000

Transsion Holdings Conglomerate, one the world’s largest smart feature phone manufacturer and a leading supplier of communication devices, has today announced its entry into the highly competitive Indian smartphone market with its mobile brand itel. The company will be rolling out its India operations in two phases with its main motto being the advancement of technology among the country’s socio-economic class C, D, E category people. The itel devices will offer high quality, unmatched performance and the price range of the products introduced will vary from Rs. 700 to Rs. 7000.
Speaking on its India launch, Sudhir Kumar, CEO of itel India, commented,

itel Mobile will offer a vast variety of products such as feature phones, smartphones, mobile accessories to delight the Indian consumers and also aims to become one of the major 4G-LTE device brands in India. The feature phones will be categorized in 3 series, i.e., SmartSelfie, SmartPower & Shine. The SmartSelfie series will have front cameras on all its phones for the selfie lovers; SmartPower is focused on bigger battery, and the Shine will have good looking devices. On the other side, the smartphones will have SelfiePro for amazing camera experience, PowerPro for long-lasting battery and Wish series for value for money phones.
The company also gave a glimpse of its plans by launching six devices- SmartSelfie it2180, SmartPower it5600, SmartSelfie it5231, PowerPro it1410, Wish it1508 and its flagship SelfiePro it1511. The 4G-LTE enabled SelfiePro it1511 supports dual sim dual standby and runs on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. The main USP of the device is its outstanding camera capabilities that can compete with any of the smartphones in that price range. Apart from this, not much information is known about the handsets.
itel is also planning to set up manufacturing units in India to contribute to the Indian government’s ‘Make in India’ campaign. The company is looking forward to establishing 1000 service centers across the country to provide highly professional after-sales service to the users. Apart from the standard warranty, the brand is also offering 100 days replacement warranty to the consumers who will buy their mobiles. itel has also partnered with major brands like Airtel, Vodafone, Sharp, Sony, Intel, Samsung, Java, and Facebook to offer Indian consumers maximum value for their money.
