iPhone 8 could be called iPhone ‘Edition’, may not launch with 7s & 7s Plus

Apple‘s upcoming smartphone i.e. the iPhone 8 is undoubtedly one of the most hyped smartphones this year so far. We have been seeing a countless number of rumors regarding the same and all of them pretty much tells us that we will be getting an insanely overpriced iPhone after all. However, the new report which we have all the way Japan, says that the iPhone 8 could be called the iPhone Edition. You know what that means? A very expensive iPhone!

We are obviously familiar with Apple’s Edition moniker from the Apple Watch Edition which is super expensive as it is made out of premium materials. And if this new report is to be believed, then maybe we should start saving some money as it may cost a fortune to get your hands on that smartphone. However, if you are not willing to spend that much on an iPhone, well, you can go for the new iPhone 7s and the iPhone 7s Plus. Yes they are also going to launch standard iPhone 7s and the iPhone 7s Plus just like every year, at least thats what the rumors say.

Talking about this super expensive iPhone Edition, we don’t have much info but it looks like Apple is going to a 5″ display along with wireless charging and dual rear camera setup. We have already seen the company’s implementation of the Dual Rear camera setup and we all know how good they are. Even a 5″ display sounds like a great idea since it should be easy to use. But what is new here is the fact that we will be getting wireless charging. This is something that we have been wanting for a long time from Apple, but it will be dissappointing to see the feature only in iPhone Edition and not the standrard 7s and 7s plus.

According to the source, Apple is aiming for 5″ display and when we saw 5″, it means 5″ of usable space on the display. It looks like we will be getting an edge-to-edge display implementation this time around and hence it would allow Apple to pack a huge display (5.8″) into a body of something like an iPhone 7. However, only about 5″ will be usable and the rest will be used for virtual buttons, etc. Currently Apple is testing a lot of materials to see tha most feasible one for mass production. The prototypes includes both LCD as well as AMOLED and hence it is yet to be seen as to which one will the Cupertino giant go for.

The source also points out that the standard iPhone 7s and the iPhone 7s Plus will be released by September, however, the most Edition may not debut until way after that. So it looks like you have a lot of waiting to do if you are interested to in buying the super expensive iPhone. With that said, would you be interested in buying the expensive iPhone Edition or would you rather pick up the standard 7s and the 7s plus? Be sure to let us know in the comment section below and also stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more info on this.
