It’s been a while since we saw any update on the iPad line up from Apple right? At the time of the new iPhones launch, they completely ignored it and even during the launch of the new MacBooks recently, there was no mention about the new iPads. While you wait for some official news about the new iPads, we have something to report which might be of some use to you. It is expected that Apple might be refreshing the two iPad Pro models launched earlier and also launch a new 10.9″ bezel-less variant.
According to the new rumors that we have Apple is planning to update both the 9.7″ as well as the 12.9″ variants of the iPad Pro line-up and also introduce a new one with a 10.9″ bezel-less display. It is expected that all this will happen at an event which is scheduled for March. According to the source here, the new 10.9″ iPad will feature the same enclosure size as the 9.7-inch iPad pro. However, since it is going to have a bezel-less display, they will be able to pack a bigger display without any issues.
Also, if previous rumors are something to go by, it is expected that the 9.7″ variant will not be a premium pro variant anymore. And it pretty much makes a lot of sense here since if they are going to launch a new variant within the same enclosure of the 9.7″ variant, there is no point in having two of them under the same series. The 9.7″ variant will be sold separately as a regular variant alongside the iPad Mini. And now talking about iPad Mini, it has been reported that the Mini versions will not see any kind of development this year. Yes, previously it was reported that they will be getting an update, however, it looks like it will not happen after all.
Although we don’t have any info about the specs of these hardwares, but we are expecting them to come packed with the lastest and greatest of what Apple has to offer. We may or may not see an update to the Apple Pencil since there are no rumors suggesting any update for them. Anyway it doesn’t make any sense for them update the Apple Pencil of now since it is already good at what it does and there is no need for an update in that department. And now coming back to the new iPad, it could be possible that the company may be trying to test the bezel-less display with the iPad Pro first and then launch an iPhone later with the same type of display.
Do make a note here that all these are just initial set of speculations and rumors and we don’t have any confirmation on this. Hence like always we suggest you to take them with a pinch of salt and wait for more details on them. Stay tuned to Phone Radar for info as we will update in future once we have more details on the same.
