Intex Launches Aqua 5.5 VR & Aqua Craze 2 Smartphones with 4G VoLTE Support

The Indian smartphone manufacturer, Intex launches two new Android smartphones at the India Gadgetz Expo 2016. The Intex Aqua 5.5 VR is the affordable VR enabled smartphone that is available in the market whereas the other device, Aqua Craze 2 offers value for money specifications. The Aqua 5.5 VR smartphone is priced at Rs. 5,099 and is sold exclusively through Flipkart starting from October 19th. On the other hand, the Aqua Craze 2 with a price tag of Rs. 5,990 will be available across the country via offline retail stores. Both the devices run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with slightly tweaked UI on top.

Talking about the specifications, the Intex Aqua 5.5 VR comes with slightly better specifications, but the availability is limited to Flipkart users. It sports a 5.5-inch IPS display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. Under the hood is the MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. It has 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded further upto 32GB. In the camera department, there is a 5MP camera sensor on front and back of the device. The front camera is assisted by a single LED flash whereas the rear camera comes with dual LED flash.

It is kept powered on by a 2,800mAh battery that might not last more than a day of usage. Coming to the Intex Aqua Craze 2, it features a slightly smaller 5-inch HD display. It is powered by the 1.2GHz Spreadtrum SC9832A quad-core processor. It has the same 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage as on Aqua 5.5 VR. The Aqua Craze 2 also sports the same camera sensors as on earlier mentioned device, but the selfie camera on this device lacks the LED flash. It is powered by a 2,500mAh battery and misses VR features though it is priced on the higher side. The Matrabhasha feature on both the devices offers 21 Indian regional languages where the users can tweet, text or Whatsapp in their own language.

Intex is also offering Rs. 2,849 worth of VAS services under the LFTY feature for free along with Aqua Craze 2 and Aqua 5.5 VR. These devices come with dual SIM dual standby support and offer 4G LTE along with VoLTE. The Jio 4G SIM can be used on both the devices and the users are also eligible for Jio Welcome Offer that comes with unlimited 4G internet and voice calls for free.

    i don’t why intex launched so many smartphones at same price range of 5k with all low end spec’s.
    better to go for xiaomi redmi 3s by spending some more bucks.
