Intex Aqua Secure is the company’s most affordable smartphone with fingerprint sensor priced at Rs. 6,499. Though it supports 4G LTE, rest of the specifications are below par when compared to other devices at this price range. Now the company is set to launch a new smartphone called Intex Aqua View priced at Rs. 8,999. Along with the fingerprint sensor, the company is also offering Eyelet Cardboard VR for viewing the VR content. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and comes in Grey & White color options.
It sports a 2.5D 5-inch IPS display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display and a protection glass on top. Under the hood is an unknown MediaTek quad-core processor clocked at 1.0GHz. It includes 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, out of which only 11.2GB is available to the end user. But the company included the MicroSD card slot for storage expansion upto 32GB. The Aqua View comes with dual SIM slots and offers 4G LTE on only one SIM. Intex is also offering a free screen guard and protection cover for free.
On the camera front, it sports an 8MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and supports gesture controls. For selfies, there is a 5MP front camera with several beauty modes. It is backed by a 2,200mAh battery that is rated to deliver 6 hours of talk time and lasts upto 250 hours on standby. The fingerprint sensor is placed on the front of the device. It measures 124 x 64 x 10.3 mm and weighs 146 grams. It will be priced at Rs. 9,390 and will be available in the next few days.
In April, another Indian smartphone manufacturer, Karbonn launched the Quattro L52 and Titanium Mach Six smartphones along with VR headsets. These Karbonn VR headsets are made up of plastic fiber, while the Intex Eyelet VR headsets are built of paper cardboard. The Quattro L52 supports the 4G LTE connectivity but the TitaniumMach Six is settled for just 3G.
