Infocus has recently launched a new smartphone, i.e., M680 priced at Rs 10990. The device comes with a MediaTek MT6753 Octa-Core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz.     Infocus M680

    Infocus M680 is a dual SIM smartphone and supports dual Standby. To insert a SIM card on your device, push the SIM Ejector pin into the hole that is on the right edge of the device. The SIM card tray pop’s out, now place the SIM card on the tray and push it back. You have successfully inserted the SIM card into your device.

    What is the type of SIM supported on this device?

    M680 is a Dual SIM smartphone and comes with a non-removable battery. So the SIM card slot is on the right edge of the device. The SIM card supported by the device is a Nano- SIM card supporting 4G connectivity.

    How to share your Data network via Tethering on the device?

    Sharing Data over a network can be done using the Tethering Mode on your device. To use this on your device, open the Settings and tap on Tethering & portable hotspot. In the new window, tap on WLAN hotspot and toggle the off button to enable that on your device. You can also set the password for your device by tapping on Set up Wi-Fi hotspot.

    How to take a Screenshot on my Infocus M680?

    There are two ways in which you can capture a screenshot on your device.

    Method1:

    Screenshot can be capture by pressing the power button along with the volume down button at the same time. The screenshot is captured and saved to the gallery on your device. For a quick access, you can open that from the notification panel on your device.

    Method2:

    There is an option called screen capture in the notification panel which can be used to capture a screenshot on your device. To use this on your device, open the screen that you want to capture and pull the notification panel. In the notification options, tap on the screen capture icon. The screenshot is captured and saved to the gallery on your device.

    How to check for the Android Updates on the device?

    Android Updates help in fixing the minute bugs on the device, hence enhancing the performance of it. The device comes with a 51 MB update out of the box and the space required to install this update is 64 MB. This update helps in improving the system stability on your device.

    External apps with apk can be installed by enabling the unknown sources option on your device. To install an app with an external apk, open the settings tap on security in the personal section. In the new window, tap on the Unknown sources and click on the OK button in the pop-up to enable that on your device.     Power saving mode helps in improving the battery life in case of low battery conditions. To use this on your device, open the Settings and tap on battery in the system section. To use this on your device, open the Settings and tap on Display in the System section. In the new window, toggle the button adjacent to LED Notification to enable that on your device. The LED lights up when you have missed a call, new message and any other application notification on your device.

    How to use the Screen pinning feature on the Infocus M680?

    Screen pinning option is available on all the devices with Android lollipop on it. To use this option on your device, open the settings and tap on Security in the personal section. In the new window, head over to the Advanced section and tap on screen pinning. Now toggle the off button in the screen pinning window to enable that on your device. To use this, open the recent window and tap on the app that you want to pin and click on the pin icon at the bottom of the screen. The screen is successfully pinned on your device. To unpin the pinned screen, you need to press and hold the back and overview button at the same time for about 2-3 seconds. The screen is successfully unpinned from the home screen.

    What are the Pre-installed Apps on the device?

    The device comes with Calendar, Voice Note, Clock Message, Phone, Email, Calc, Backup Tool, Mobile Assistant, Power Detective, App Traffic Control, File Manager, Torch and all the Google related apps pre-installed on your device.

    Yes, there is an option on the device where you can move apps from internal to external storage on you device. To move an app, open the settings and tap on App in the system section. In the new window, tap on app that you want to move and click on Move to SD card in the App Info Window. The App is successfully moved from internal to external SD card on your device.

    Mobile Assistant is used to improving the performance of the device by cleaning the unwanted memory. It comes with few options like device acceleration, Storage Clean, Power saving, Permission and Threats and Modify Fixed Items. Now open the Mobile Assistant from the App drawer and click on the scan button. The mobile assistant performs the operation and clears the cache memory on the device thus helping in boosting the performance of your device.

    What are the bloatware applications on the device?

    The device comes with a lot of bloatware applications like Facebook, FM Radio, Dropbox, Power Detective, Safe Box, WPS Office pre-installed on it.

    Can I remove the bloatware apps from the device?

    Yes, the bloatware applications can be removed by uninstalling the from your device. Not all the applications are uninstalled, but there are few apps that can only be disabled if you don’t want to use them. To disable an application, open the settings and tap on Apps in the System section and head over to all section. Now click on the app that you want to disable and tap on Disable button in the App info window. You have successfully disabled an app on your device, and the app is moved to the disabled column.

    How much is the internal storage on the Infocus M680?

    The device comes with 16GB of internal storage and can be expanded to 64 GB using an external Micro SD card and out of the 16 GB 5.52 GB is occupied by the system, 1.09 GB is used by the apps and around 9.22 GB of free space is available for the user.

    The device comes with 2GB of RAM where 522 MB of RAM is used by the System, and 259 MB of RAM is utilized by the internal Apps and around 1.1 GB of free RAM is available when no apps are running on the device.

    What is the SAR Value of the device?
