InFocus, the U.S based smartphone manufacturer, had officially entered the Indian market in March 2015 by launching InFocus M2 and InFocus M330 entry-level smartphone. The devices are exclusively sold through Snapdeal and gained a lot of attention for their lower price tags. In the recent times, the company had launched some good mid-range smartphones, but they are not that much popular as the earlier mentioned devices
A couple of months back, InFocus had launched a new budget-oriented smartphone InFocus M370 (M370i) that is priced at just Rs. 5,299. Now the company is expected to announce a successor for M370/M370i called ‘InFocus M372‘ in Taiwan. The design of the M372 looks same as the M370/M370i and even few specifications also remain same on both these devices.
The InFocus M372 comes with the same 5-inch HD IPS display and will be powered by the Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor as seen on the InFocus M370 (M370i). Once launched, this will be one most affordable 4G LTE smartphones available in the market. It supports dual SIM dual standby and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with InLife UI 2.0 laid on top of it.
While the InFocus M370 came with just 1GB of RAM and 8GB of built-in storage, the M372 comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD card slot for storage expanding up to 64GB. With the doubled amount of RAM, we can expect better multitasking and lag-free Android experience on InFocus M372. It comes with an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
The device also supports VoLTE (Voice-over-LTE) calls for Asia Pacific Telecom users. The other connectivity options on the InFocus M372 includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, and a MicroUSB 2.0. It is expected to launch in January 2016 in Taiwan, and there is no information about the launch of this device is India. But as seen with the earlier launched devices, we expect the device to launch in the next few weeks after the official announcement.
