Huawei Y9 Prime with Kirin 710 SoC & 16MP Pop-up selfie camera Launched in India

Last week Huawei teased its new Y series smartphone — the Huawei Y9 Prime on Amazon India. Now, the company made it official in the country to compete against the recently launched Realme X. The new Huawei Y9 Prime in the country comes in single storage variant priced at Rs 15,990, and the phone will be available in Sapphire Blue Color and Emerald Green variants.

The Huawei Y9 Prime features a 6.59-inch full HD+ display that achieves an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 with a pixel density of 391. The Y9 Prime packs in the company’s HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC, which is an octa-core processor followed by 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The storage can be further expanded via microSD for up to 512GB.

As for the optics, the Huawei Y9 Prime comes with a triple rear cameras setup comprising of a 16MP primary sensor coupled with 8MP secondary sensor and a 2MP sensor as well. Upfront, there’s a pop-up selfie camera, which features a 16MP primary sensor.

The Huawei Y9 Prime is powered by a 4000mAh, which charges through USB Type-C. For authentication, the device hosts a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the connectivity front, it supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, no NFC, GPS. The Huawei Y9 Prime ships with Android 9 Pie-based EMUI 9.0.
