Huawei Watch GT Smartwatch with 1.39″ AMOLED Display & LiteOS Launched in India

Back in October 2018, Huawei unveiled the Watch GT alongside the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro smartphones. Now, the company has officially launched the Watch GT in the Indian market. While the Huawei Watch GT Sports Edition is priced at Rs 15,990, the Watch GT Classic Edition comes with a price tag of Rs 16,990. It will be sold exclusively via Amazon India starting March 19th. Huawei is also offering a Huawei AM61 Bluetooth headset worth Rs 2,999 for free with the smartwatch.
Unlike the earlier Huawei smartwatches, the new Watch GT comes with a proprietary LiteOS instead of Google’s WearOS. Also, the smartwatch doesn’t support any third-party apps. However, it comes with options to track the workouts, heart rate, sleep, and weather. There are also built-in apps like Stopwatch, Timer, Alarm, Flashlight, Find my phone, and finally Settings. Apart from the third-party apps support, the Watch GT packs all the features will mostly see on any high-end smartwatch.
The Huawei Watch GT sports 46mm case with a ceramic bezel. It comes with a 1.39-inch circular AMOLED touchscreen display with 454 x 454 pixels resolution. It packs includes 16MB of RAM and 128MB of built-in storage. The device comes with Bluetooth 4.2 for pairing with the Android and iOS devices. It is also water-resistant up to 5ATM (50 meters). The smartwatch also sports onboard GPS for tracking activities without the need of a paired smartphone.
Talking about the battery life, the Huawei Watch GT with 420mAh battery life is said to last up to 2 weeks on a single charge. It is also due to the lack of any third-party app support. The company is also rumored to introduce two new models of the Huawei Watch GT during the Huawei P30 and P30 launch. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
