Back in October 2018, Huawei launched the Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 X, and Porsche Design Mate RS smartphones at an event held in London. In less five months, the company is said to have shipped more than 10 Million devices globally. It includes all the four newly launched smartphones under the Mate 20 series. In China, the Mate 20 series also broke the previous records for the most sales in the same duration.

A few months ago, Huawei became the second largest smartphone brand in the world beating Apple. While Apple and Samsung are seeing a downward trend in YoY sales, Huawei has been growing rapidly. The Chinese company has done all of this without any help from the US market. Earlier, the company reported that it has shipped more than 200 Million units in 2018. Later this month, the company will launch its next-gen flagship smartphones under the P-series – Huawei P30 and Huawei P30 Pro.

With the Mate 20 series, the company introduced the world’s first 7nm mobile processor called HiSilicon Kirin 980 with dual NPU. It is also the first processor to feature Mali G76 GPU and Cat.21 LTE. Now, the upcoming Huawei P30 and P30 Pro will also use the same 7nm Kirin 980 chipset. These new devices are teased to come with periscope style camera for offering 10x lossless optical zoom.

Apart from its partnership with Leica for improving smartphone photography, the company is spending huge amounts on R&D to bring innovative features to the users. At the MWC 2019, it unveiled the 5G supported foldable smartphone called Mate X. Let’s wait and see, what Huawei brings new to the table with the upcoming Huawei P30 smartphones. The company has scheduled an event on March 26th in Paris for the global launch of the Huawei P30 series.
