Huawei is expected to unveil its latest device under the P-series called Huawei P9 at the CES 2016. While nothing is mentioned about the Huawei P9 at the CES, the company indeed announced the Mate 8 for the international markets. Now the latest news from VentureBeat reveals much more information about the upcoming device. The major news is that the Huawei P9 will be launched in not less than four variants.

There is no information about the complete specifications of the device, but a few revealed details can give an idea about the devices. The four variants of Huawei P9 are P9, P9 lite, P9 Max, and Enhanced version of P9 (P9 Premium). While the Huawei P9 Lite will be a budget centric device with cut down specs when compared with original P9. The Huawei P9 Max will feature a bigger display with slightly upgraded specifications.

The fourth variant of the P9 is said to sport dual rear cameras with 12MP sensors which will also include better productivity than the dual cameras on the Honor 6 Plus. The upcoming LG G5 is also rumored to sport dual rear camera while nothing is yet officially confirmed by the company. While many of the global smartphone manufacturers are looking to include Quad HD display on their high-end devices, Huawei is on the other side of the battle stating the Quad HD display as a power drainer.

But somehow the company had launched the Huawei Nexus 6P with a Quad HD display in 2015 and it will be only Huawei device to sport a QuadHD display even in 2016 . The company is keen to skip the MWC 2016 for the launch of Huawei P9 where many other brands are expected to unveil their 2016 flagships. Huawei will host a separate event few weeks after the end of MWC to launch the Huawei P9 and at the MWC, the company will unveil a surface kind of tablet running on Windows 10.

There are few rumors that the same Huawei tablet will feature dual boot options that make it to run both Windows 10 along with Android OS. At the recently concluded CES 2016. Samsung had unveiled its first Galaxy device to run on non-Android OS. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro S running on Windows 10 OS is a high-end tablet with a 12-inch Quad HD AMOLED display. On the other hand, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 came in two variants running MIUI 7  and Windows 10 OS. Stay tuned for more updates!
