Huawei has sent out event invites to publications for an event the company is holding, on April 15th. With the recent spur in leaks around the Huawei P8, it is well expected that Huawei is announcing this device at the event. There is no clarity about what is to be expected from the event, and there’s only the “It’s coming….” message.
The eevent is scheduled to be held from 3 PM to 4:30 PM local time in London, and it is a wait for almost a month, but we’re sure this should be exciting, given the way we are seeing some teasers that boast about the different aspects of the upcoming device, though no where it is mentioned as the P8.
The first teaser from Huawei for the next flagship in China, had talked about a better camera and a strong screen, and the second one talked about a great battery life. These are some main concerns for a smartphone user, and Huawei targeted those to just pump up the anticipation.
If we are to go with the previous leaks, we are going to see a HiSilicon Kirin 930 octa-core processor (Huawei’s own chipset) along with 3GB RAM, under a 5.2-inch 1080p screen and a unibody construction. The dual 13MP camera combination might be seen on the back, and the device might be running Android 5.0 Lollipop with Huawei’s Emotion UI.
Now, if we take Huawei’s teasers to match with the leaks, the battery capacity of 2600 mAh doesn’t look really good, and for the stronger screen, we might be seeing a Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the front. The Duo camera setup could help in changing the focal point even after the capture is done, and the inclusion of OIS is expected.
We’re sure some more details might be revealed ahead of the launch, but if not, April 15th is when you get to officially know about it.
