Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite is a new device that has been announced today along with the Enjoy 9s and the 9e smartphones. This MediaPad M5 Lite supports Huawei’s own Histen sound and is Harman Kardon audio certified. The handset will be available in Dark Grey and Champagne color variants and will be on sale starting today in China. Global availability and global pricing should be known soon.

This new MediaPad M5 Lite from Huawei will be coming with 8-inch (1200 x 1920) Full HD+ curved glass display along with Android 9.0 Pie OS out of the box with EMUI 9.0 on top. Under the hood, there is an Octa-Core Kirin 710 12nm SoC coupled with 3GB / 4GB of RAM and ARM Mali-G51 MP4 GPU. The onboard storage is 32GB/64GB which can be extended further up to a maximum of 512GB via microSD card slot.

There is a 13MP camera sensor on the rear with autofocus f/2.2 aperture which will be accompanied with an 8MP camera on the front. This device has optical support of 4G LTE from which the users can choose from and has a big 5100mAh battery to power it. It measures 204.2x 122.2x 8.2mm and weighs 310 grams. Moreover, it has other connectivity options like Bluetooth v4.2 LE, GPS, A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac.

The MediaPad M5 Lite 8-inch WiFi 3GB + 32GB model is priced at 1199 Yuan (approx Rs. 12,300) while the bigger 4GB + 64 model is priced at 1399 Yuan (Rs. 14,300). The 3GB + 32GB with 4G is costs 1499 Yuan (approx Rs. 15,300) while the MediaPad M5 Lite 8-inch Wi-Fi 4G + 64GB model with 4G is available at 1599 (approx 16,400).
