HTC is long rumored to launch the U11 Plus smartphone as an upgrade to the HTC U11. While there is no official confirmation, the company might soon unveil the HTC U11 Plus along with HTC U11 Life Android One edition smartphones in Taiwan. The company has sent out the press invites for an event scheduled for November 2nd. Earlier leaks suggested the company to launch two new HTC U11 smartphones before the end of this year. The HTC U11 Plus will be the upgraded variant to HTC U11 with upgraded specifications.
A few leaks also mentioned it to sport longer display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Based on the leaks, it sports a 6-inch display with Quad HD+ (2880 x 1440 pixels) resolution. Under the hood, the device will be powered by Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 540 GPU. It might come in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants with 64GB and 128GB storage options. Just like the U11, the upcoming U11 Plus might also come with glossy finish body. It will be featuring a 12MP camera on the rear. The device should be running on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo and will also be IP68 certified
On the other hand, the HTC U11 Life will be company’s latest Android One edition smartphone. Unlike the other U11 devices, the U11 Play will be a mid-range device. It comes with a 5.2-inch display and might offer Full HD resolution. The U11 Life will be powered by Snapdragon 630 octa-core processor and packs 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. In the camera department, there will be a 16MP camera on the rear and front of the device. Both the U11 Plus and U11 Life should continue to offer Edge Sense feature to access the device by just squeezing the frame.
Since there is no official confirmation, take these details with a pinch salt. The global launch of these devices should happen a few weeks after the unveiling in Taiwan. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
