HTC One M10 with Snapdragon 820 Likely to Skip MWC 2016

From the past few months, we have seen many rumors and leaks about the upcoming flagship HTC One M10 (a.k.a HTC Perfume). As seen with the last year’s MWC, everyone has expected to see the HTC launching their flagship alongside the Samsung. While Samsung and LG have confirmed their presence by sending the press invites for the launch of their flagships Galaxy S7 and LG G5 respectively.
Now the latest rumors suggest the One M10 to be launched at an exclusive event on April 11th by skipping the MWC 2016. Though we may not see the device at MWC, the design of the device is already shown through the leaked images, and we also have the possible specifications of the device. From the front, the One M10 looks similar to the One A9 but comes with a smaller oval shaped home button and the company also ditches the embarrassing HTC logo.
While from the back, it looks more like HTC One M9 than the One A9 without curved shape, the camera module comes in round shape instead of square. Talking about the specifications, it features 5.2-inches AMOLED display with Quad HD resolution. This will be the first smartphone from HTC to sport an AMOLED display since all the earlier device came with LCD displays. Under the hood will be the Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor coupled with Adreno 530 GPU and 4GB of RAM.
There will be 32GB of internal storage and also includes a MicroSD card slot for further expanding. On the camera front, it has 12MP Sony IMX377 sensor with laser autofocus, PDAF, and OIS which help in giving the best smartphone photography experience. On the front is 5MP ultra pixel camera that can capture better selfies even in low light conditions. It comes with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box with HTC Sense 8.0 UI overlaid.
The home button on the front also houses the fingerprint sensor same as the One A9. While all the other flagship devices are also set to be powered by the Snapdragon 820 and will be accompanied by 4GB RAM, the UI and build quality are what differentiates the flagships. The LeEco Le Max Pro is already out and the LG G5, Xiaomi Mi 5 along Samsung Galax S7 & S7 Edge will be unveiled at MWC. So stay tuned for the live updates about the upcoming flagships from Mobile World Congress 2016 starting from February 21st.
