HTC Launches U Ultra and U Play Smartphones with no headphone jack & Secondary Display

Taiwanese smartphone company HTC today launched two U-series smartphones U Ultra and U Play. Both smartphones come with new design and sports Liquid Surface construction. Both have a fingerprint sensor on board along with USB Type-C. But there is not any headphone jack on board like Apple iPhone 7. Both smartphone also comes with Artificial Intelligence HTC Sense Companion. The U Ultra also comes with a secondary screen called strip, which is a 2.1-inch in size and placed on the right side of the front camera. We have already seen the secondary display in LG V10 and V20 smartphones.This new strip shows notifications, reminders, contact shortcut and music controls.
The flagship smartphone HTC U Ultra comes with 5.7-inch display along with the 2.1-inch secondary display. The screen has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and has a pixel density of 515 PPI. The secondary display has 1040 x 160-pixel resolution. It is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. HTC U Ultra measures 162.4 x 79.8mm and weighs around 170 grams. It has 3,000 mAh battery on board. It has four microphones for 3D Audio, USonic and BoomSound Hi-Fi edition. The smartphones run on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system along with HTC Sense.
It runs on Snapdragon 821 processor along with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It supports up to 2TB of the SD card. Talking about the camera of the smartphone, it comes with 16MP BSI front sensor along with Ultra pixel mode, f/2.0 aperture, and 28mm focal length. It can record full HD videos and comes with features like auto HDR, Voice selfie, and live make-up. On the other hand, there is 12MP UltraPixel rear camera with dua-tone LED flash. It also supports laser autofocus, optical image stabilization, and phase detection autofocus. It can record 4K videos with 3D audio.
HTC U Play comes with 5.2-inch full HD display. There is not any secondary display in U Play. The Pixel density of the screen is 423 PPI and comes with Gorilla Glass protection. There is 16MP rear camera along with dual-tone LED flash, phase detection autofocus, optical image stabilization and f/2.0 aperture. It can record up to full HD videos. HTC U Play measures 146 x 72.9mm and weighs around 145 grams. It comes with MediaTek Helio P10 processor and has 3GB/4GB RAM. There is 32GB/64GB internal storage option as well. It runs on Android Marshmallow operating system. Like U Ultra, U Play also supports up to 2TB of micro SD card. It has 2500 mAh battery on board.
