Now the news has arrived for the latter device. The Desire 828, which is company’s first handset in Desire series to sports Optical Image Stabilization in camera module is going on sale on December 14th. But this time, the Taiwanese brand has chosen to go with Flipkart.

Priced at Rs 19,990, the HTC Desire 828 is a mid-range handset from the company, which would be competing with the likes of OnePlus 2 and Honor 7. The device packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which is further expandable up to 128GB. There is an Octa-core MediaTek MT6753 chipset under the hood, which a 64-bit processor housing eight cores and clocking 1.5GHz.

You get a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) pixel resolution display, which means a 401 PPI pixel density; it is as best you can get in the mid-range. The device runs on the latest Android Lollipop 5.1 version, but there is an Android skin running on top of it, it is called HTC Sense. The version that it is running is not the latest, but its close; Sense 6.0 UI.

In terms of the camera department, it is powered by a 13-megapixel image sensor, which is accompanied by the LED Flash. The interesting fact here is that the camera module supports OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). With OIS support, you can expect better image and video outputs concerning the less shakes. There is a 4MP front-facing camera, which has a 2µm pixel size and 1/3′ sensor size to offer you some interesting selfies. So, no depth of field captures, although, what you get is a UltraSelfie, as quoted by the company.

For connectivity, the device has a many interesting options out of which 4G LTE network support might be the favorite of many consumers. It has the dual front-facing BoomSound speakers, which would be quite familiar to the HTC consumers as the company tends to include that in their special handsets.
