HTC has launched a new smartphone from its Desire series called ‘HTC Desire 820G+’ in India for a price of Rs. 19,990. It packs some decent hardware, but the design is no different to other Desire smartphones. On the front, you can find HTC’s dual Boom sound speakers with built-in amplifiers.

The Desire 820G+ was first unveiled last month in Taiwan along with the Desire 626G+. The company launched the Desire 626G+ in India way back in April for Rs. 16,900.

The smartphone sports a 5.5-inch HD (1280×720) display and powered by MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz. It comes with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot (up to 32GB supported).

The USP of the Desire 820G+ is its camera; It has a 13MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash while on the front is an 8MP camera that is more than enough for selfies and video calls.

It runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat based HTC Sense UI. The device comes with dual SIM dual standby support but lacks the 4G LTE connectivity. It include other basic connectivity features like Wi-Fi, 3G, FM Radio, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, and microUSB 2.0.

All this will be powered by a 2,600mAh battery that can offer 12 hours of talk time and 560 hours on standby. It measures 157.7 x 78.74 x 7.74 mm and weighs around 155 grams. Like any other HTC smartphone, Desire 820G+ also supports HTC DotView case. It will be available in the colors – Santorini White, Saffron Grey, and Milky-way Grey.
