Now following the lead of Withing’s, the Hewlett-Packard is all set to change the smartwatch game. The HP branded smartwatch will feature a circular dial with 44mm stainless steel case and the swappable bands using four different materials, Black Rubber, Brown Leather, Olive Green Nylon and a Limited Edition Black.
While designing of the smartwatch will be handled by Bastian, HP will be adding the smart features like, notifications of email, text, and calls along with the user controls for music. It will also feature basic real-time alerts for subjects like the sports, stocks and the weather. It is certain that this device will not stick to just one platform, like Android Wear OS, as company quotes that they are building a smart watch that will be Android and iOS compatible.
Other details like type of display, battery, memory and pricing is unknown for now. Though, if you ask us, as the HP smartwatch will be targeted at the luxury segment, you may have to shell out a larger sum of money to buy it. It is also reported that this fashion focused smartwatch will be arriving later this fall via the online store of Gilt.
Even though, Moto 360 and the rumored One Plus One smartwatches do not lie in this category, but because of their intentional good looks, HP smartwatch will already have a tough competition to face later this fall when the both wearable tech gets out.
