Honor starts rolling out Android Pie Beta update for its Honor Play smartphone

Not very long ago, we have seen Honor introducing its latest EMUI 9.0 in India which will become official on 16th of October at the Mate 20 launch. Many of the Huawei devices have already started receiving the Beta update and the latest one being in the news is the Android Pie Beta rollout to Honor Play. This update is mainly in Europe and the Middle East and comes with the serial number COR-L29. Moreover, the device is also eligible for 9.0.0.110 build which will bring many new features and UI features.

If you have not received the update yet, you can always go to the setting of the handset and check for the update manually from the system updates. If the update is available, then download it and before installing it make sure the battery on the handset is more than 60 percent and also don’t forget to back up all the important data. Well, the build number of the OTA update is COR-L29C185E303R1P8B115 or COR-L29C432E303R1P8B110 which depends on the unit.

The update brings many features like Adaptive Brightness, Adaptive Battery, Android Dashboard, design improvements and also GPU Turbo 2.0 to improve the performance of the device. Along with this, it also gets the security patch for the month of October to fix minor bugs on the device. The Honor Play comes with a big 6.4-inch display with 1080 x 2340 pixel resolutions. It has Hisilicon Kirin 970 10 nm chipset and will be available in 4GB as well as 6GB memory options.

There is a single 16MP selfie camera setup of the front with f/2.0 aperture size and has 16MP + 2MP cameras on the rear with LED flash.
