Honor has already confirmed to launch its latest flagship smartphone Honor Magic 2 on October 31st in China. Now, the latest leaks suggest the company might partner with electric car maker Tesla to launch a special edition Honor Magic 2. The Chinese smartphone brands have been collaborating with car makers for the special edition devices. Honor’s parent company Huawei and Porsche Design have recently launched the 4th-gen Porsche Design Huawei smartphone.
Talking about Honor’s partnership with Tesla, we have no official confirmation if the company is intended to launch a special edition device or not. There are also rumors that Honor Magic 2 can be used as a key to unlock the Tesla Model 3. Take all these details with a pinch of salt and wait for the official confirmation. The Honor Magic 2 will be Honor’s first smartphone to use the all-new 7nm HiSilicon Kirin octa-core processor.
The device will be coming glass back body with a sliding mechanism. As seen on the recently launched Mate 20 smartphones, the Honor Magic 2 will also support 40W wired fast charging and 15W wireless fast charging. The slider on this device will feature the front camera along with all the sensors required for the 3D imaging. It will also be Honor’s first smartphone to feature triple cameras on the rear. The device might sport 40MP wide angle sensor, 20W super wide angle sensor, and 8W telephoto sensor.
It will be running on the latest Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with all-new EMUI 9.0 skin on top. Along with the face unlock, the device will also feature the in-display fingerprint sensor. We expect more leaks to follow soon revealing key details ahead of the official launch. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
