Honor has already confirmed to launch the Honor 8C smartphone on October 11th in Beijing. Today, the company also teased to launch a new Android tablet called Honor Pad 5 alongside the Honor 8C. The teaser image confirms the Honor Pad 5 to sport metal unibody design with curved edges and rounded corners. The Weibo post also confirms the Honor Pad 5 to come equipped with Harman Kardon-tuned stereo speakers.
With the Honor Pad 5, the company will also introduce the new-gen Histen 5.0 audio technology. It will be running on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with EMUI skin on top. While there is no official confirmation, we expect the upcoming Honor tablet to come with a 2K display and in-house Kirin chipset. A few months back, a new Huawei tablet named MediaPad M5 WP was spotted on FCC certification website.
The images of the MediaPad M5 WP confirmed it to feature Harmon Kardon speaker. Now, we are guessing the Huawei MediaPad M5 WP to be launched as Honor Pad 5 in China. The MediaPad M5 WP comes with an 8-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display and is powered by two-year old Kirin 960 SoC. It sports 13MP + 2MP dual cameras on the rear and an 8MP single camera on the front. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
