In the second half of 2017, Honor launched the Honor 9i smartphone dual cameras on the front and rear. Last month, the company also launched the Honor 7X and Honor View 10 smartphones with FullView display and dual rear cameras. Today, the company confirmed to launch the successor to the Honor 9i smartphone later this month in India. As seen on the Honor 9i, this new device also packs four cameras, two cameras on the rear and other two cameras on the front.
While there is no other information mentioned about this new device, we expect the company to launch the Honor 9 Lite. It sports 13MP + 2MP dual camera setup on the rear and front of the device. The device comes with glossy finish body and sports a 5.65-inch FullView display with Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution. As seen on the Honor 9i & Honor 7X, the Honor 9 Lite is also powered by Kirin 659 octa-core processor.
It comes with 3GB and 4GB RAM variants with 32GB and 64GB of internal storage. There is also a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion up to 256GB. The fingerprint on the Honor 9 Lite is placed on the rear. It is backed by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery. The device runs on Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI 8.0 out of the box. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port.
It measures 151× 71.9 × 7.6 mm and weighs 149 grams. In China, the Honor 9 Lite was launched in Black, White, Blue, and Silver color options.
