Honor 8X with 6.5″ Notch Display & Kirin 710 SoC Launched in China

Alongside the Honor 8X Max, Honor also launched the Honor 8X in China today. While the Honor 8X Max came with waterdrop screen and Snapdragon chipset, the Honor 8X sports regular notch display and Kirin chipset. Apart from the notch display, the Honor 8X and Honor 8X Max look similar intern of design. Compared to the 7.12-inch display on the Honor 8X Max, the Honor 8X comes with a smaller 6.5-inch display.
The 6.5-inch IPS display on this device comes with Full HD+ (2340 × 1080 pixels) resolution and 19:5:9 aspect ratio. It is mentioned to offer 91% screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood is the 12nm HiSilicon Kirin 710 octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz. The device comes with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. There is also a dedicated MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI 8.2 out of the box.
In the camera department, the Honor 8X Max comes with 20MP + 2MP dual rear cameras with f/1.8 aperture and a single 16MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture. The device can record slo-mo videos up to 480 fps. It also got the AI scene detection mode and AIS (AI-based stabilization). The device measures 160.4 × 76.6 × 7.8 mm and weighs 175 grams. The Honor 8X is backed by a 3,750mAh non-removable battery that also supports up to 5V/2A (10W) power input.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. It comes in Purple, Black, Blue, and Red color options. The Honor 8X with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage is priced at 1399 Yuan. There is also a 6GB RAM variant with 64GB and 128GB storage options that costs 1599 Yuan and 1899 Yuan respectively.
