Google now rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat OTA for Nexus 6, 6P Smartphones

Last month Google made the Android 7.0 Nougat update official and since then, Nexus 6P & Nexus 6 users have been waiting for the update patiently for their OTA update. But now according to the latest reports, it looks like the company has now started the OTA rollout to the users. The same was confirmed by the Google Nexus official Twitter handle. This account has always been active in the social media, and the fact that the account is verified makes it much more trustworthy.
When a lot of users started asking questions about the update, they received a response from the account stating that the update is on its way to the devices. So in case if you have not received the update yet for your device, then keep checking the update section as you might be receiving one anytime soon. Earlier: So Android 7.0 Nougat is finally official now, and the update for the same started rolling out to the eligible devices. This list of eligible devices only includes the Nexus devices, so if you have one, then you are going to be among the first ones to get the taste of this new OS. The list of eligible devices is as follows –
Do make a note that the rollout may take several weeks depending upon your region etc. But users will receive a notification for the OTA Update on their devices.
Talking about the OS itself, there are a handful of new features that are added to this new version. The most important one being the multi-window functionality. This allows you to run two apps at the same time. The new version also comes with a tweaked version of Doze mode for better performance. Other noteworthy features are New Emojis, Vulkan graphics API, dedicated VR Mode, ability to send direct replies from the notifications, a built-in battery saver mode and more.
