Google Home Speaker, Amazon Echo Inspired Google Assistant Announced

Amazon surprised everyone with Amazon Echo that comes with the Amazon’s own AI, Alexa. Now at the Google’s annual developer conference, the company announced the Google Home as the Google version of Amazon Echo. The Google Home is basically a wireless speaker just like Amazon Echo which comes with the newly announced virtual assistant Google Assistant. The built-in software allows the Google Home to connect with other IoT devices and operated seamlessly with them directly.

Just like the Amazon Echo, the Google Home features the always listening and far-field microphones for instant replies for the voice commands. All Google Home needs to perform tasks is the voice commands. With more and more developers adopting the new AI technology, the speakers can do any almost anything. The TV connected Chromecast can be able to take commands from Google Home. With the all the Google account linked devices and other IoT devices in the house, the Google Home will be the main hub.

The bottom base can be replaceable and google is offering it in different colors with different designs. With the Chromecast audio support, the Google Home can be asked to stream the music to other speakers as well. Earlier Google’s Nest is rumored to come up with AI based device as the alternative to Amazon Echo. As of now there is no specific date mentioned for the launch of Google Home and the pricing isn’t announced yet. We can expect it to be made available in the next half of 2016.
