Google Currently Denying ‘Out of Warrant’ Repairs for Pixel 3 Smartphones

Google’s newly launched Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones will be competing with the premium flagship devices like Apple iPhone XS, Samsung Galaxy Note 9, and Huawei Mate 2o Pro. While the Pixel 3 devices excel on the software front, they come with the boring design featuring thick bezels (and a huge notch on the Pixel 3 XL). While both the new Pixel devices are facing RAM management issues, the company is said to soon release an OTA update to fix it.

Now, the company also opted for the all-glass back body which make the devices more fragile. While the smartphones comes with at least 12 months of manufacturers warranty, the company also fix the ‘out of the warranty’ issues for a price. According to 9to5google, Google is denying to fix the ‘out of the warranty’ issues for the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 devices. Google has partnered with uBreakiFix to offer after sales support for the Google Pixel devices.

As of now, uBreakiFix doesn’t have access to components to offer ‘out of warranty’ support like shattered glass. The only component to be in stock is the battery, that too limited for a few stores. The defective Pixel 3 is covered by the warranty, then the Google will be replacing with a new handset. If the Pixel 3 is broken, then the user has to stick with the broken glass for the indefinite period. While we see pathetic after-sales support from the low-cost smartphone makers, it’s shame to see this kind of service from Google.
