Google Pixel 3 & Pixel 3 XL with Dual Selfie Cameras & Android 9 Pie Officially Launched

After months of leaks and rumors, Google has finally unveiled the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones. Both the Google Pixel 3 devices will be the successors to the Google Pixel 2 devices launched last year. The Google Pixel 2 devices are well acclaimed for best image capturing capabilities. More than the hardware, Google is nailing the photography department with the HDR+ technology.
Now, the newly launched Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphone will continue in the footsteps of its predecessors. While the design looks similar to last-gen Pixel 2 devices with the two-tone back body, the Pixel 3 comes with complete glass back body. While the Pixel 3 continues to come with the 18:9 display, the larger Pixel 3 XL sports the 19:9 display with a huge ugly looking notch. Both the 2018 Pixel smartphones will be running on the latest Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.
The Pixel 3 users can also store unlimited original resolution photos and videos in the cloud through Google Photos App. While the Pixel 3 XL sports 6.3-inch AMOLED notch display with QuadHD+ resolution, the Pixel 3 comes with a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. Even with the bigger screen size, the Pixel 3 devices come in the similar size as their predecessors.
The devices will come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform and includes 4GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. Coming to the camera department, the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL sports single 12.2MP camera on the rear and dual 8MP cameras on the front. These new smartphones from Google bring 10W wireless charging support. Google also introduced its own charging base called Pixel Stand.
The devices are backed by a 2915mAh non-removable battery and support 9V/2A fast charging via a USB Type-C charger. There are also front-firing stereo speakers which are mentioned to be 40% louder than the Pixel 2 speakers. The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones come with a glass sandwich design sporting Aluminum frame with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on either side. The devices are also IP68 certified for dust and water protection.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz + 5.0GHz), Bluetooth 5.0 LE, NFC, GPS, USB Type-C port. The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL will be available in Clearly White, Just Black, and Not Pink color options. Coming to the pricing, the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will be retailing from $799 and $899 respectively in the US.
