Gionee S5.1 Pro with AMOLED Display & 13MP Rear Camera Officially Unveiled in China
There are few leaks about the possible launch of Gionee S5.1 Pro in China, and today the company has officially unveiled the device in China. The S5.1 Pro measures 5.35mm thick while the original S5.1 is just 5.2mm thick. The form factor of the device looks almost identical to the iPhone but with a glossy back panel.
The device features a 5-inch 2.5D HD (1280×720) AMOLED display with a pixel density of 237ppi, it also a Gorilla Glass 4 protection on top of it. It is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz, coupled with Mali T720 GPU and 2GB of RAM. There is 16GB of internal storage and also includes a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB.
On the back, it has 13MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP selfie camera on the front. It has a non-removable 2,400mAh Li-Ion battery and the device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based Amigo 3.0 UI. The device supports dual SIM dual standby.
The bottom of the device includes Speaker, microUSB port, and 3.5mm audio jack. It has a glossy back panel with a metal frame around the device that gives a premium feel to the device.
Connectivity on this device includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0. It measures 145.1 x 70 x 5.35 and weighs just 129 grams. The device will be available only in Gold and White color.
The company hasn’t mentioned the pricing or the availability of the device. It is expected to price at 1,899 Yuan (approx $300).
