Gionee Marathon M4 with Quad-Core Processor, 5000mAh Battery Launched for Rs. 15,499

Gionee launched the Marathon M4 in India for Rs. 15,499 and can be purchased through Gionee India’s e-store. The device was first unveiled in early June and at that time the company mentioned mainly about its battery capacity and metal build along with few images.
It sports a whopping 5,000mAh battery that gives 50 hours of talk time and lasts up to 440 hours on standby. The Marathon M5 is the other smartphone from Gionee, which has a massive 6,020mAh battery; the company unveiled this device along with its latest flagship Elife E8 in Beijing, China. The availability of this device is unknown since the company hasn’t mentioned about its launch date.
The Marathon M4 sports 5-inch HD (1280×720) Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 294ppi. Under the hood, there is a MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with Mali400 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It has 16GB of internal storage out of which only 10.08Gb is only available to the end user, it also has microSD card slot with up to 32GB support.
Coming to the camera, there is an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera. It runs on Amigo 3.0 UI based on Android 5.0 Lollipop. The device comes with many pre-installed apps like Saavn, Yahoo Cricket, Du Battery Saver, Xender and few more.
The device supports dual SIM dual standby and offers connectivity features like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth, and microUSB 2.0. It measures 144.7 x 71.2 x 10.18 mm and weighs 176 grams. The company also provides the 2A charger with quick charging support within the package. It is available in the White and Black colors.
The company also include ‘extreme power saving mode’ to extend the battery life even further. At sub Rs.15,000 price range, the device comes with a metal build that gives a premium look and back of the device it has a matte finish providing a nice grip to hold.
