Gionee A1 Lite Launched with 20MP Selfie Camera & 4000mAh Battery
After unveiling the Gionee A1 and A1 Plus selfie-centric smartphones at the MWC 2017 event, the company launched only the Gionee A1 in India. Today, Gionee came up with a new device called Gionee A1 Lite under the new A-series. It is launched in the Nepal for NPR 26,999 (approx $265 / Rs. 17,000) and will be available in Gold and Red colors. The device sports a unibody metal design and continues to focus more on offering best selfie-taking experience. While the Gionee A1 is the first smartphone from company to run on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, the newly launched Gionee A1 Lite also come with latest Nougat based Amigo 4.0 UI on top.
It sports a 5.3-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display along with a 2.5D curved glass on top. Under the hood is the 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz and features Mali-T720 GPU to look after the graphical performance. It sports 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be further expandable via MicroSD card slot. Talking about the cameras, the Gionee A1 features a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. On the front is a 20MP selfie camera with wide-angle lens and the same f/2.0 aperture. As seen with the Gionee A1, the A1 Lite also sports the front-facing LED flash for capturing better selfies even in low light conditions.
The device is backed by a 4,000mAh non-removable battery that should easily give a day long battery life. It offers dual SIM dual standby and supports VoLTE for faster data speeds and HD voice calls. Just below the rear camera is the circular fingerprint sensor for making the device secure. Beneath the display, the device features three capacitive navigation buttons for multitasking, home, and back (from left to right). Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, 3.5mm Audio port, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. The power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge, while on the left edge is the SIM card slot.
Earlier to this, Gionee also launched the Gionee A1 and A1 Plus in Nepal. The Gionee A1 Plus is priced at NPR 44,999 (approx $440 / Rs. 28,000) and sports 13MP + 5MP dual cameras on the rear. For selfies, it has the same 20MP sensor as seen on the Gionee A1 Lite. Both the Gionee A1 Lite and A1 Plus are yet to be launched here in India.
