Fossil Sport Smartwatch with Snapdragon Wear 3100 Launched for Rs 17,995

Back in November 2018, Fossil launched the Fossil Sport smartwatch in the US for $255. It is the world’s first smartwatch to come powered by the new Snapdragon Wear 3100 Platform. Now in June 2019, the company launched the Fossil Sport in the Indian market for Rs 17,995. It comes in 41mm and 43 mm sizes and is compatible with all 18mm and 22 mm straps respectively. The Fossil Sport will be available in Smokey Blue, Black, Blush, and Gray color options. It comes with a round Aluminum dial measuring 12mm thickness and 18mm Silicone strap.

The Fossil Sport smartwatch runs on WearOS by Google and supports Google Pay. Fossil is the only major to still launch WearOS-powered smartwatches in the country. On the other hand, companies like Samsung and Huawei have replaced Google’s WearOS with their own proprietary OS. With water resistance up to 5 ATM, the Fossil Sport is also swimproof. The Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 Platform coupled with 350mAh battery will give up to 24+ hours battery life. With the magnetic charging cradle, the Fossil Sport can be charged from 0% to 80% in just one hour.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, and NFC. It comes with a built-in GPS to track all the activities. With the Heart Rate sensor, it can measure heart rate automatically during a workout. With the built-in microphone, the users can do a lot more tasks just by talking with Google Assistant. It also packs altimeter, gyroscope, accelerometer, and ambient light sensor. The company is also introducing Social Watch faces which personalizes the 1.19-inch OLED display on the front with favorite Facebook or Instagram photos.

It also packs 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. The Fossil Sport is compatible with smartphones running on Android OS 4.4 & above or iOS 9.3 & above. It can be purchased through online and offline stores across the country. Fossil is also offering 2-year manufacturers warranty for its new Sport smartwatch.
