Elephone Vowney & Vowney Lite with Helio X10 SoC and Fingerprint Sensor Launched

While the top Chinese manufacturers; Huawei and Xiaomi are competing with Samsung and Apple, there are few other smaller manufacturers like UMI and Elephone that are launching smartphones at unbelievable prices. The latest smartphone from Elephone, Vowney is the company’s flagship device that comes high-end specifications and reasonable pricing. Along with the flagship device, there is also a smaller variant called as Vowney Lite.

The Vowney sports 5.5-inch Quad-HD IPS display with a pixel density of 535ppi and coming to the Vowney Lite the display size remains same, but the resolution is limited to just Full HD. Both the devices come powered by the 64-bit Helio X10 octa-core processor along with G6200 GPU. This is the same processor that was used in the recently launched LeTV Le 1s and Meizu MX5.

The Vowney comes with a 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage while the Lite variant comes with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The devices also include a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB. There is a 21MP rear camera with Exmor RS IMX230 sensor on both the devices, it is accompanied by dual tone LED flash and PDAF technology that can focus in just 0.15 second. It also supports 4K video recording at 30fps. On the front, it has an 8MP selfie camera that can capture great images.

The fingerprint sensor added on the rear of the device can unlock the device in just 0.05 second. With a large 4,000mAh battery, the devices can provide at least a single day of usage. The device supports dual SIM dual standby and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It also offers Band 40 (2300MHz) 4G LTE that is supported in India. Connectivity on this device includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, MicroUSB 2.0 along with 4G LTE.

 
With a price tag of $300, the Elephone Vowney is one of the best smartphone available in the market at this price range, and this is also most affordable smartphone with 2K display. Talking about the Elephone Vowney Lite, the device is priced at $239 considering the degraded specs over the Vowney. Elephone Vowney will be available in the Golden color while the Vowney Lite comes in Gray color. The pre-order for both the devices have been started, and shipping begins from November 20th.
