As you may or may not know, Pokémon Go is pretty much taking over the world now. If you are seeing someone walking on the road with a smartphone in his/her hand, then chances are he/she might be playing Pokémon Go. It is an augmented reality game; that lets players collect, train and battle Pokémon characters in the real world. It is free to play, and the in-game currency allows players purchase upgrades and power-ups. So if you want to join them and start with your gameplay, then you don’t have to wait for it to launch it in your country. You can still download and play the game.
On July 13 the game launched in Germany and is already available in the US, suggesting a UK launch won’t be far behind. Reports indicate the game has been delayed due to overwhelming demand for the game.
How to install the game on your Android Device
- Any Android users who really can’t wait can download the game from here.
- You need to configure your phone to allow apps to be installed from third-party sites, rather than the official Play store.
- To do that, go to settings, security and allow ‘Unknown Sources’ by switching the option on. Go to the APK link and download.
- Press ‘OK’ on the warning message pop-up and the app will download.
But it is not advisable though since downloading from third parties and unknown sources don’t go through the rigorous anti-virus checks and can’t be guaranteed compared to the official Play Store hosted file. However, the above link is what we would recommend as we have tested with multiple devices and it’s working just fine for us.
