You can also follow the below-mentioned steps to reset your device with ease.

Step 1: Open the settings
Step 2: In the settings window, head over to the personal section and tap on Backup & reset.
Step 3: In the backup & reset window, click on Factory data reset in the personal section.

Step 4: A warning message with all the details of accounts appears on screen, Tap on the Reset Phone button.
Step 5: If you have kept the finger print scanner or the lock then you need to confirm the password on your device to proceed further.
Step 6: Now the final confirmation is displayed on the screen with an Erase Everything button, tap on it.

The device will restart and enters the recovery mode and erases all the data available on your device. It will now again reboot as if you are booting it for the first time.
