Coolpad has launched a new low-cost smartphone called Coolpad Legacy. The device is priced at $130 (approx Rs 9,000) and will be available in the US via Metro by T-Mobile. We don’t think the company will be launching this smartphone in any other market. While we may get a much better device for this price in India, the Coolpad Legacy could be one of the best devices under $150 in the US. The device also comes with a premium looking glass back body.
Talking about the specifications, the Coolpad Legacy sports a 6.36-inch IPS display with Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The display also comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood is the older Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 Mobile Platform coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. The device comes loaded with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It also includes a MicroSD card slot for expanding the storage additionally up to 128GB.
The device runs on the Android 9.0 Pie based out of the box and offers vanilla flavored stock Android. In terms of optics, the Coolpad Legacy sports 16MP + 5MP dual rear cameras with LED flash and a 13MP front camera for selfies. It will be backed by a 4,000mAh non-removable battery that also supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, FM Radio, 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port.
Both the power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge. There is also a circular fingerprint scanner on the rear. It measures 165.8 x 80.5 x 8.4 mm and weighs 169.8 grams. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
