Coolpad To Launch The New Play 6 Smartphone In India On August 20
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Coolpad, the company which has launched smartphones like Cool1, Coolpad Note 5, etc. is all set to launch yet another smartphone in India this month. The company has started teasing the same on their Facebook page, where they have posted a series of posts revealing bits and pieces of information on the smartphone. The launch date is set for August 20, which is just right around the corner.
Talking about this smartphone, this is going to be a decent mid-range offering from the company and it is expected that it will compete with devices like Oppo F3, ZTE Nubia Z17 Mini, etc. Internally this smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 SoC. This will be coupled with 6GB of RAM, which is rather an interesting decision. It also looks like it will have 64GB of internal storage which will also be further expandable via a microSD card.
This mid-range offering will pack dual rear-camera setup. It has dual 13MP sensors at the back arranged vertically and there is also a fingerprint scanner right below that. Both are f/2.0 lens and have PDAF. There is also a dual LED flash and overall, from the back, it sort of looks like the Honor 6x. In terms of the software, we are looking at Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and we hope that this will be upgraded to the next version of Android.
The Coolpad Play 6 will pack a massive 4.060 mAh battery, which we believe will be good enough to keep it powered through an entire day easily on a moderate usage. As of now, we don’t have any official info about the pricing, however, it is expected that it will be priced around 15,000 INR here in India, later when it launches. With this pricing, it will be a solid offering in the market amongst other devices like Redmi Note 4, etc. Having said that, we would like to know your thoughts on this. Would you be interested in buying this smartphone and if yes, then at what price? Be sure to let us know by leaving a comment down below.
