Chinese Manufacturers Focusing more on Dual Cameras in upcoming Smartphones

In recent years, the dual camera system is being implemented by various smartphone manufacturers, and we are seeing a lot of different approaches from them. HTC implemented the dual camera system with the HTC M8 a few years back. Recently, Huawei released the P9 with the dual camera system and the Korean smartphone manufacturer LG, also debuted the same with the G5. All the manufacturers implemented it differently, and the results were good, if not excellent in many situations. And according to some reports, even the upcoming rumored iPhone 7 Plus could come with a dual camera which is expected to be announced sometime in October.

Well, now it looks like other manufacturers are also going to adopt the system and come up with their variants. According to a report, Chinese smartphone manufacturers like OPPO, Vivo & Xiaomi are also planning to launch their devices with the infamous camera system. A production company named Lite-On, which specializes in the manufacture of this type of modules, have previously provided a few samples to various companies. These companies would test them, and if it works out well, then we can see those units being used in their respective smartphone variants.

It will be interesting to see how OPPO, Vivo and Xiaomi will use the dual rear sensor. Huawei characterized them by an RGB sensor and one B & W. Whereas on the other hand, the G5 characterized by a second sensor with wide angle lens to 135°. Both of them perform exceptionally well on their part and give some excellent looking images. So, if implemented properly then the dual camera system can prove extremely useful when compared to the smartphones with the regular single lens shooter. We did a camera comparison between the LG G5, Samsung Galaxy S7 and the Xperia X head to head. Check out the results yourself and decide which is better.

Meanwhile,Vivo is expected to launch its new smartphone the X7 soon. The X7 is supposed to be a camera-centric smartphone which sports a 16-megapixel selfie camera. It will be interesting to see if they come up with the dual camera with this device or not, as the company is known to push technology limits and bring versatile devices on the market. Let us know what do you think about the dual camera system and will you be interested in buying a smartphone with such a camera module.
