The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo is making pretty strong moves in the smartphone industry lately. The new Vivo X7 and X7 Plus are said to be launched later this month as the successor for Vivo X6 and X6 Plus that are launched in December last year. This camera-centric smartphone will sport a 16-megapixel front-facing selfie camera which is going to be it’s biggest selling point. More new specifications will be teased by the company over time until the phone launches officially and we will update them accordingly.
On the same lines, today the company teased another hardware specification. We have a teaser in which we can see a fingerprint reader. The new X7 will sport a fingerprint reader on the front, which will be embedded in the home button like other Vivo smartphones and looks similar to variants from OPPO and the newly released OnePlus 3. If rumors are to be believed, then the 16-megapixel camera will be accompanied by an LED flash and the rear facing camera will be of 20-megapixels.
Other sources claim that Vivo X7 will have a 5.2-inch FullHD display and a 3,000 mAh battery. It will also have a MediaTek’s Helio X25 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. This version of the phone will come out with a suggested price of CNY 2698. There is also going to be a 6GB variant with 128GB of storage option for CNY 3288. It is also reported that the X7 might appear similar to the Vivo concept phone seen in Marvel’s latest “Captain America: Civil War” movie.
Earlier, we covered an article on the transparent display from the company, which leaked in China. The unique part of that panel was that it was accessible from the rear side as well. But as of now, we could not get any confirmation on it, and it is more likely that it’s fake. The company’s X-series has been quite successful even though it has just four models – the X5 Pro, X5 Max, X-Shot and X3S. All these smartphones had excellent specifications, and the company saw a massive increase in sales and got the 6th position in the major manufacturer sales list pushing LG to 7th position. Let’s hope the new X7 is going to be a worthy addition to the series and manages to keep up the trend.
