BLU launches Diamond M Smartphone in the US with Basic Hardware Specifications

BLU, an American smartphone brand that is known for its affordable range of handsets has launched yet another cost-effective handset, which has a unique design aesthetics. You get a premium metallic finished back which is cut in the sense do give a diamond rear back. The company claims that they are using a special metallic paint along with electrolyzed technology for efficient output.
Apart from the design, the Diamond M doesn’t have any outstanding feature as the hardware specifications are pretty basic. You get a MediaTek MT6580 Quad-core processor, which clocks 1.3 GHz and has a support of a 512MB of RAM. The company claims that the 5-inch display on Diamond M is vivid, but unfortunately it has 854 X 480 pixel resolution, which converts to a pixel density of just 196 PPI.
Talking about the internal storage, well, it has a 4GB of space, which can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card slot. The device is running on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow based OS, which looks like isn’t customized much as it reminisces the Stock UI. Regarding the camera department, Diamond M has a 5-megapixel shooter on the rear with the support of Flashlight, while there is a 2-megapixel front snapper for selfies. Note that rear camera can record full HD videos at 30fps, which is the highest you can expect for a 5MP module.
Regarding the connectivity options, it has a network support of HSPA+ and 3G. While talking Bluetooth, it supports 4.0 standard and also has Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS and a microUSB 2.0 port for connectivity. All this is powered by a 2200 mAh capacity battery, which should give a days’ charge easily considering the display and processor speed.
The BLU Neo X LTE is the last handset, which also sported similar specifications but had the little higher battery capacity and LTE support, which has become a mandatory part of smartphone lifestyle these days.
