Blackberry Z3 Launched in India for Rs. 15,990 – All Specs & Details

Blackberry has launched a new smart phone in the Indian market, with an attractive pricing finally. The Blackberry Z3 is the smart phone priced at Rs. 15,990 and it comes with some good specifications and a brilliant design. Running the Blackberry 10 OS, the device doesn’t run only the Blackberry restricted apps, but for the first time, we would be seeing a Blackberry phone able to install Android apps using their installation package files. The build of the device make it looks like the premium class device, the device is sturdy to hold in one hand and the textured non-removable back panel keeps the grip on the device. The Z3 has a slim profile and the weight of the device is around 164 grams.

In terms of specification, the device has 5 inches (540×960 pixels screen resolution) qHD display. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 Dual-core processor which clocks at 1.2 GHz, with the graphics support by Adreno 305 GPU. The device is supported by 1.5 GB RAM. It comes with an internal storage of 8 GB with an option to expand the storage via MicroSD card slot up to 32 GB. The device runs the Blackberry OS version 10.2.1, the latest iteration of the OS.

The camera present on the rear side is a 5-megapixel one with the LED flash, and there is a 1.1-Megapixel front-facing shooter. In terms of the battery capacity, the device has a 2500 mAh capacity, and according to the company officials, the standby time is of 16.2 days and the talk time which will be given is 15.5 hours. It features the Blackberry Maps that offers 2D maps, local search, and 3D voice guided directions for the India. The keyboard is the main highlight of the device, as it supports Hindi and Hinglish (English+Hindi) predictive input. The phone also comes with Blackberry Hub, which you can access by going in and out of it from any screen, while using any application. Alongside that, the Blackberry Hub also filters what is important for you, helping organize the applications based on user’s personal choice.

Blackberry has also improved the web browser, with the improvements including the page rendering, where the content would be showcased based on the screen, and the loading speed is improved, which should be an added advantage for the users having slow internet connectivity.

In the new version of BBM, the text and email messages can be previewed within any app on the device. This is through Blackberry Hub, which can be a home for BBM and the Hub can then be opened from within any application screen. According to Blackberry, the battery has been improved with a lot of optimization so that it runs for a longer time on the same capacity, when compared to the other Blackberry models. The Z3 has a feature called as
“Blackberry Magnify”, which can be helpful for the persons who have a partial loss of vision, and through this feature, the content can be zoomed in. “Blackberry Screen Reader” is another feature included in the Z3, and this comes to use for those people who lost their vision.

All the Blackberry devices come with the security options which can be enabled to protect the data from theft. The device can be locked with a password and PINs. “Blackberry ID” is something providing additional security, using which you can access the websites, apps and services. The office and work data can be secured with the “Blackberry Balance” technology which makes separate profiles according to the user’s needs. These profiles can be secured with a password that only the user can access, based on which apps they wanted to show. The Blackberry Z3 will be available at both, offline and online stores for a price of Rs. 15,990.
