Best Budget Smartphones below Rs 7000 (March – April)

In the month of March 2016, we have seen many entry-level smartphones launched in India. Though not all the smartphones are still offering 4G LTE, we have still added the 3G smartphones because of the value for money they offer. While most of the devices came from the Indian manufacturers, InFocus is the one brand that had launched a couple of interesting devices.

Lava Iris Fuel F2 – Rs. 4,444

Lava Iris Fuel F2 wrapLava Iris Fuel F2 is the latest smartphone Indian smartphone manufacturer Lava. It is priced at Rs. 4,444 and comes with basic specifications and importantly there is no 4G LTE. The device is exclusively available through eBay and comes in the Black and White colors. It comes with a simple bar-shaped design and is built out of plastic. Talking about the specifications, the Iris Fuel F2 features a 5-inch FVGA (854 x 480 pixels) resolution display. It is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor from an unknown manufacturer.

The device has only 512MB of RAM while we expect the at least 1GB of RAM is a minimum requirement to run Android OS without any lags. It has 8GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion upto 32GB. On the camera front, it has a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a VGA camera on the front for selfies. The device includes dual SIM card slots and offers basic connectivity features. It is backed by a 3,000mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

InFocus Bingo 10 – Rs. 4,299

InFocus-Bingo-10-wrapInFocus Bingo 10 is the latest smartphone launched by the company in the Indian market. It is priced at priced at just Rs. 4,299 and can be highly recommended for the first tie smartphone users. The device comes with basic specifications and is one of the best alternatives for another Infocus device M260, which was currently retailing at Rs. 3,999. It features a 4.5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480) display and is powered by MediaTek MT6580M quad-core processor. It has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage that can be further expanded via MicroSD card slot.

The device supports dual SIM dual standby but lacks the 4G LTE connectivity. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is also the most affordable smartphone to come with Marshmallow out-of-the-box. The device sports 5MP cameras on front and rear of the device along with an LED flash on both sides. It is backed by a 2,000mAh battery and offers basic connectivity features. As of now, the device is exclusively sold through Snapdeal and is available in White and Black colors.

Intex Cloud Breeze – Rs. 3,999

Intex Cloud Breeze wrapIntex has launched a quite a few affordable smartphones here in India. The recently launched Intex Cloud Breeze is one of those devices that offers more value for money. The device is priced at just Rs. 3,999 and comes with least minimum specs for giving most out of the Android OS. It features a 5-inch display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. Under the hood, the Cloud Breeze is powered by a MediaTek MT6572W dual-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz.

Even at such a low price, the device offers 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage. The device also packs 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front camera. It is backed by a 2,300mAh battery that might not last more than a day of usage. The device supports dual SIM dual standby but lacks the 4G LTE. It offers connectivity options like 3G HSPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. The Cloud Breeze measures 145.5 x 72.8 x 9.9 mm and weighs 153.3 grams.

LYF Flame 1 – Rs. 5,499

Lyf Flame 1 wrapThe LYF Flame 1 is the latest affordable smartphone from the Reliance-owned LYF brand. It is priced at Rs. 6,490 and is one of the most affordable VoLTE supported device available in India. The LYF Flame 1 comes with a 4.5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) display and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It comes with a polycarbonate body with rounded edges. Under the hood is a 32-bit Snapdragon 210 MSM8909 quad-core processor clocked at 1.1GHz along with Adreno 304 GPU.

It has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of built-in storage that can be further expanded upto 32GB via MicroSD card slot. Talking about the camera, there is a 5MP camera on front and back of the device and only the rear camera is assisted by an LED flash. It is backed by a 2,000mAh battery which might not last for more than a day of usage. The device offers 4G LTE with VoLTE and VoWiFi support along with other basic connectivity options. The device can be purchased from major online and offline through Reliance Digital stores across the country.

InFocus Bingo 20 – Rs. 5,749

InFocus Bingo 21 WrapWhile the above mentioned  Bingo 10 is only available online, the Bingo 20 can be purchased across India via online and offline stores. Apart from few changes, the Bingo 20 is the same Bingo 21 that was launched exclusively through Snapdeal. It sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) display and is powered by Spreadtrum SC9830 quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. While the Bingo 21 came with 2GB of RAM, the Bingo 20 is limited to only 1GB of RAM. There is 8GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD card slot.

While the Bingo 10 comes with Marshmallow out-of-the-box, the Bingo 20 still runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based InLife UI 2.0. Talking about the camera, it has an 8MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash, and on the front is a 5MP selfie camera along with LED flash. The device supports dual SIM and is kept powered on by a 2,300mAh battery. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. It measures 136.8 x 67 x 10.82 mm and comes in Blue, White and Orange colors.
