Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 new Update Brings June Security Patch, Digital Wellbeing & More

Asus has recently launched its flagship Zenfone 6Z and now the company is rolling out a new update to its ZenFone Max Pro M2 which will bring Android Security Patch for the month of June. The device received Android 9 Pie update earlier this year in the month of March and now the latest update will be bringing Digital Wellbeing also. The update bumps the version on the device to 16.2017.1906.066.

The size of the latest update is 1.55GB in size which also brings bug fixes along with June security patch. Furthermore, the update brings a new icon for the FM radio application and also improves the vibration intensity of the device. The update is being rolled in Japan and might be expected to be rolled out Globally soon. The company has also fixed the headset low volume issue and the power-off icon in dark mode is been fixed.

Since the update is being rolled out in phases it will take some time to hit your smartphone. To remind you, the ZenFone Max Pro M2 comes with a 6.26-inch display with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection on top with Full HD+ 19:9 aspect ratio. The device is powered with an Octa-core Snapdragon 660 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and Adreno 512 GPU. The device has a fingerprint sensor on the back and also has a facial unlocking system to enhance the security levels.

There is a 12MP camera on the rear with LED flash along with a Sony IMX486 sensor with f/1.8 aperture size and a secondary camera of a 5MP sensor. For selfies, there is a 13MP camera with LED flash and comes with 64GB as well as 128GB storage options that can be extended up to 2TB via microSD card slot.
